Hi Dacsoft,

Have you tried scrolling down a bit whilst hovering mouse over "system tools " there is another tab below where you are looking that gives this :

You then need to go here and get the update file and save it on your Desktop :

Then Unzip the file on your desktop and you will see a " bin " file like this :

Use the browse button and select this bin file on your desktop and everything else is automatically done .

Follow instructions in pdf , don't forget to backup your config file first by using the next tab down

"Backup and Restore " so your settings on router can be reinstalled easy if they get deleted during the update.


They don't usually and I have updated both my v1 and v2 VR900's recently .



Not sure about a v3 but both v1 and v2 are different routers , white is v1 and black is v2 ,

the only difference is one of the Broadcom chips inside which is slightly newer on the v2

The Interfaces look very similar if not identical and both perform the same on my 80/20 VDSL line.

V1 and V3 have differences on hardware part. No way to upgrade the hardware part.
