I'm trying to configure wifi using tp-link WR740N.
While connecting the WAN cable directly to the computer internet connection is achieved.
On the other hand, while connecting the WAN cable to the router - in the status tab in the router's config it says 'WAN cable not connected' and there is no internet connection via wifi obviously.
What could be the problem?

Cable is not plugged in in the WAN port on the router. The WAN LED is not on, right? If it's plugged in, it could be the cable is bad, or the WAN port of the router is broken. Change the cable. Connect a pc to the WAN port with the same cable to see if the WAN LED comes up.
