TD-W8968 V5 latest firmware doesn't work with Huawei E3372 3G dongle

I have a customer who has very bad broadband and I am trying to set up a TD-W8968 V5 to use their Huawei E3372 USB modem. I've tried various things but the router will not recognise the dongle, it reports as unplugged. There appears to be no BIN file for this either.
Are there any plans to create a BIN file for this router/dongle combination? or make the router compatible through firmware?
