No access to RE-355 via cable
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
When I activate WiFi on my laptop I am able to access my RE-355 Extender using the address 192.168.0.254. However, when I disconnect my laptop from WiFi and connect to my TP-Link Router via LAN cable I am no longer able to access the RE-355 Extender. It makes no sense as I use the 192.168.0.254 address which I have mapped in my router on the specific RE-355 MAC address so the connection SHOULD take place via the router. But it does not. Can anyone explain?
Also, I have a TP-Link router (192.168.01) to TP-Link router (192.168.1.1) VPN (IPSec or LAN to LAN), one router is remote (192.168.1.1). Behind the remote router there is another RE-355 WiFi Extender and behind this extender a WiFi camera. From my local site I can access my remote camera using a local address (e.g. 192.168.1.300) on the remote router (I am in a VPN) but when I try to access the remote RE-355 with its local address (192.168.1.254) I get no access, no response. Why does the RE-355 (192.168.1.254 mapped too to its MAC address in the remote router) not responding?
