TL-PA411 V1 not connecting in garage

Hi guys this is my first ever forum post as I've no idea who to ask on this one. I have a couple of TP-LINK AV500 Mini Powerline Adapters with which I am trying to set up a network link down to my garage, about 25m from the house for an IP camera. I can connect to the camera when it is in the house in various rooms with no problem but when I try and connect to the camera when it is in the garage and powered from one of the garage Mains sockets it wont connect. I tried powering the Powerline adaptor in the garage from an extension lead fed from the house and it works fine but every time I try it from a socket within the garage I lose communication. I thought it may be a problem with an RCD or something but all garage sockets and house sockets are protected be the same RCD in the house so everything is on the same circuit the only difference is that the garage Mains circuit has its own circuit breaker on the house fuse board but I wouldn't have thought that would cause a problem. I have thought of adding a Mains socket in the house from the garage supply and powering the house adaptor from this but its a big job to do on a hunch so ideas would be appreciated. Cheers, Mike.
