I have connected my Archer C1200 router to a Cisco EPC3925 modem/router and set it up as an access point (fixed IP in the correct range of the EPC3925, DHCP off). I have multiple devices connected wireless as well as 1 device by cable on LAN port 2. Everything works fine, speed is OK but the LED that indicates "Internet Access" is off.

Is this just because it is an access point?

Thanks in advance.

Patric

if you do not connect the wan port, how shall the internet access LED turn on?

access point is only work on layer 2 to forward packets, take little care of the LED status if it work fine.
