TL-WN823N does not find my Vodafone Router
I have a new Vodafone WLAN Router (2,4 and 5Ghz). My PC did not find its SSID, so I bought the TL-WN823N Adapter. But the adapter also does not find the SSID. I have no problems the all our iPhones, the iPad and our smart TV. Could be possible, that thetp-link adapter is unable to connect with my new router?

What is the operating system of your computer?
Have you installed the driver for the 823N on your laptop? Can you detect any wifi network on it?
Try to adjust some wireless settings of the main router's wifi to give it a shot, including wireless name, wireless channel and channel width.

The laptop can detect other wifi networks means that the adapter should be working fine.
There is a public driver you can install to give it a go.

If still the same, you can return it and get another one to do a comparison analysis.
Any updates, please let us know.

Hello Kevin,
thank you very much for your help. But my computer can't open the link given below. Does it lead to a .rar file?
Kind regards,
Julian

Yes, it will lead to a .rar file, it is a zip file. Once it was downloaded, you need unzip it and install it manually.

Dear Kevin,
thank you very much once again. But unfortunately it still does not work. I have installed the driver (2018-11-09) given on tp-link's support-web-site. The stick finds a lot of other routers but not mine.
Kind regards
Julian

Julian, have you ever tried to install the public driver manually which I sent before? Below is the download link, it is a .rar file, you need unzip it.

How to install it manually:https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/228/
Meanwhile, try to contact the tech support of Vodaphone router to get some suggestion, like firmware upgrading.
If still the same, you may get another network adapter to have a try.
