Hi people

I recently got one of these wifi routers. I am with Virgin Media, hence i needed some hardware that actually works!

I recently got fed up with the SH3. My fire TV devices constantly lost connection to Wifi. Like 2-3 times whilst watching a movie. 

My android phone every couple of days being connected with no internet, and everyone else in house iphones having awful speeds.

This despite being on Vivid 350.

The kids that do not have an ethernet ran to their rooms would lose connection to internet.

I decided to put the SH3 into modem mode.

Prior to being in modem mode, if i ran a speed test after a reboot i would be getting 200+ mbps even at peak times and 350+ in quieter times.

Once it was all set up i could only get upto 50mps only any Wifi connection, 2ghz or 5ghz. 

I thought we would give it a chance see how we get on.

After being installed roughly 2 months, with ZERO disconnects to any fire tvs, smart tvs, mobiles or gaming consoles everyone was happy with actually having internet constantly. 

Downloads obvisously were slower but they could play with their friends and watch movies etc.

In the last week however, I have had to restart the SH3 every couple of days or we end up buffering with speeds of 10mps MAX and slower on the 2ghz

I wondered if there was anyone with any set up tips to maximize our wifi experience, or fixes to having to reboot the modem all the time?
