Model: Archer T4U
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: ??

I just bought the Archer T4U Wifi adapter.

Installed it on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009, 2.53 GHz, Mid 2009).

Installation of software is successful.

However I am disappointed that I do not see any improvement in Wifi speed when I do a speed test.

Using internal,existing adapter  and 5G band - my download speed was ~ 70 MBPS

Using Archer T4U adapter  and 5G band - the download speed was ~ 70 MBPS

Archer T4U adapter can support  up to 867 MBPS on 5GHz. I don't even see any improvement at all.

Any idea why ?  Is it becos this product cannot support my MacBook Pro unit?

@Hsimkh

What is the bandwidth you paid for your internet service provider?

The 867Mbps is the wireless link speed in PHY layer, it will affect the actual speed, but they are not the same.

With the internal and T4U connected to the 5GHz, please verify the wireless negotiation speed.

Meanwhile, you can reinstall the driver from the official website to give it a go.

Nice day.
