Archer C3150 v1 - VPN Question
Archer C3150 v1 - VPN Question

Model: Archer C3150
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 0.1 v005f.0 Build 160708 Rel.35998n

I'm not sure if this is possible but I was hoping someone might be able to confirm.

I have a Archer C3150 v1 connected to a Virgin media super hub. I was wondering can I set the archer up so that everything connected to it (especially my samsung smart TV) connect to the internet via VPN (I have a nordVPN subscription). All my other devices I cn run the NordVPN app or setup manually, but the TV has no option for this, so was hoping I could achieve it at the point of the Archer.

Many thanks in advance

@Nick00777777

Where is the NordVPN installed? On the Archer C3150 or the Virgin Media hub?

Do you want to connect every devices to the Archer C3150 and then set them as the VPN client to connect to the NordVPN server? Especially the TV?

For your information, the Archer C3150 supports OpenVPN server and PPTP VPN server only, it cannot work as a VPN client yet; if there is no option for TV to run the NordVPN app or setup manualy, I'm not sure whether there is another way to connect it to the VPN.

Instead, you can contact the tech support of the TV to get some specific help.

Best regards.

Hi Kevin, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I was hoping for all devices to connect via VPN, even those that I can't manually put VPN settings on, such as my TV. However I think you've answered my question in as much as I can't set this at the Archer level, so it can't be done? The virgin super hub also doesn't have the ability. Thanks again
