Model: Archer T3U
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I cannot connect to the internet - Shows on "Network Connection", and when I try and to connect (both auto and manually) it says that it cannot connect.

Dell3620

Windows 10

I have a 'cheapo' 802.11n Wireless LAN card (dongle) which works fine, so why not this supposedly super-dooper one.

@Kevin_Z Hi Kevin,

Correct on all details.  Looked at your recommendations, and ended up in "Device Manager".

I went into "Properties", then into "Advanced", then into "Wireless Mode".

I 'played' around with the options and have ended up choosing "IEEE 802.11 a/n", which is giving me the ability for 300mbps (which is fine as my broadband is set at a mere 50mbps (Sky Fibre)

Seems to be working fine as I have "Shut Down" and started a few times - Fingers crossedlaugh

Bye the way, I have done a couple of "speed tests" and they are coming out at 70 to 75 mbps download and 16 to 18 mbps upload - I am not complaining - Just wondering how broadband providers come out with what we are supposed to pay for!!!

Thank you for your advice and help,

Ari

@Ari2211

So the computer with Archer T3U can detect the wireless network but failed to connect to it, right?

Do 2.4GHz and 5GHz both have the same issue?

Try to change the wireless channel of the main router and give it a go.

Still the same, you can reinstall the driver.

May it help and have a nice day.

@Ari2211

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that you figured it out finally.

You mentioned that the bandwidth you paid is 50Mbps, while you can get 70-75Mbps, which is faster than 50Mbps, that is to say, the speed is normal, even better than expected.

Now you can enjoy the internet with the TP-Link adapter.

If need more help, just let us know.

Best regards.
