USB-Hub UH700 defective
I have a USB-Hub UH700 S/N 216718000115x V2.0.
It doesn't work anymore. Suddenly.
How can I test it if it's defective?
I tried on different computers, but with a simple mouse plugged-in on differnt ports nothing happens. The power supply seems to be o.k.

So you mean that the devices plugged into the USB port do not work, which cannot be detected, while the simple mouse cannot be charged, right?
Try to plug an USB drive to the computer directly to verify whether it works fine, and then try to plug it into the USB data ports one by one and verify whether it can be detected;
If the USB drive can be detected by computer directly, but not via UH700, try to change another USB device or computer.
Meanwhile, when did you buy this USB hub?

@awtpling I tested the USB hub UH700 again. With and without its own power supply. On different machines/PCs. With Windows and Linux.
The hub is not recognized/seen anymore.
USBDeview from Nirsoft doesn't see the hub.
I also tried another cable for connecting the hub to the PC.
If I use an other hub from an other manufacturer it's recognized immediately.
I bought the hub from microspot.ch September 20th, 2016 and used it on an iMac.
