Hello,

 

I bought a brand new router from Tp-link, and I tried to set it. The problem I bought it in Poland area, so it's in polish.

 

(I'm helping my girlfriend's family and leaving the 22th, after that I'm not coming back for long time.)

 

I tried to upgrade the firmware with the good hardwar version and also region version, so Tl-Wr841N, V14 (selected on the websit),from polish region website.

 

TL-WR841Nv14_EU_0.9.1_4.16_up_boot[180319-rel57291].bin this is the firmware I tried to put on it, that's the only one I've found in english from the polish regio. It's from 2018.

 

I saw on the Us regio a firmware from 2019 same Hardware version and product, but not same regio. Should I try it ?

 

Otherwise How should I do it ?

Hello,  it is suggested to upgrade firmware from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise, it will be against the warranty and damage the router.

 

The current firmware is the first firmware released for Polish version, it is not allowed to upgrade to other versions, like US or EU.

Hello, that’s what I’ve tried take the firmware from polish website. For v14 hardware for my router model. There’s 2 choice english or polish. I take english and it’s not working. So that’s why I came here...  do you have any solution ?@Kevin_Z

Hello, there is only one Polish firmware available now; It cannot be flashed to EU/US version. 

 

And this firmware was developed based on the existing firmware versions, which has improved the total performance.

So i’m stuck with a meterial I cannot set..., and the us version is ine year more recent. Thx for your help.@Kevin_Z

Hello, the US version fixed some issues, while the PL version should be fine, otherwise there will be firmware released for it.

 

For now, the TL-WR841N V14 PL version works well; you do not have to worry about that.
