What I would look for is a possible stuck reset button. Also be sure you clicked save at the bottom of the pages you changed as some of them you need to page down to see the SAVE button. If that is not the issue, you should contact TP Link support and see about a replacement. In the mean time backup and restore would help recover the settings.

thank you for responding, everytime i've made any changes i've clicked save. the first occurence of this "wipe" the router had been reboot a couple times in the weeks prior and everything was fine. i did it this time and all of a sudden i needed to resetup the router as if it was the first time i plugged it in. i checked the reset button and it's fine and before my original post we lost power and again all of a sudden i needed to resetup as if it was the first time.

If it were me, I would contact support and get a replacement. Also consider a UPS. I use a UPS that has Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) for my router, modem, main PC, security system, and phone system which seems to help.

@ascensyon

Hello, the Archer C5400X is available on the list.

Please ensure that you use the original power adapter. And have you ever tried to hard reset it manually and reconfigure it with the parameters given by ISP?

And please ensure that the firmware is up to date.

Besides, may I know when and where did you buy this Archer C5400X and what is the serial number?

Good day.

@r0gfrog yes that is what i ended up doing,  but test yours.   do all the setup save it and pull the plug see if it happens again.  if it does .   bring that sh*t back
