Hello,

 

I have "TPLink AC1200 dual band router" with around 130Mbps fiber optic connection.  When I connect through LAN I get around 130Mbps connection in speed test, but when I try to do it through Wifi Router 5G connection, which scales to 866Mbps, the speed test tops at 49Mbps.

 

I am running 5G connection with channel width of 80MHz and auto configuration of Channel.  Connection speed from my Laptop wifi is at 866700Kbps (from killer control center).  Signal strength 100% and MIMO enabled.  WIFI card on my laptop is capable of handling 1.5Gbps connection.

As i am getting it, you are experiencing slow speed through LAN wires just make sure you are using proper ethernet cables. Also, Could you explain bit more for my better understanding.

@nitz.online I am facing the same issue.  Connect the cable directly to laptop, I get 200Mbps speed. The same cable connected to archer c6 and laptop connects to 5g wifi, the speed drops to 20Mbps. Very disappointing. Not sure if it is caused due to some firmware upgrade. You got the problem solved?

Try enabling QOS. This did work for me.

That too didn't work. I tried downgrade to 2018 version downloaded from tplink site, but it does not consider it as valid file. Only 2020 version is succeeding with upgrade/downgrade and it is stuck with this issue. What is your hardware version and firmware version? Mine 1.3.5, v2.0.
