Have the AV600 with 6 adapters around the house, so I pretty much know my way around this stuff.

Thought I'd try the TL-WPA8630 AV1300.

1. Paired the Hub and Extender - no problem.

2. Connected to internet. No problem.

3. Cannot log into the TL-WPA8630 extender on tpPLC (IOS on iPhone 7) to change name and check for firmware updates. The admin/admin password DOES NOT WORK.

4. Have connected to web interface via http://tppclink. (can think of actual url - but have successfully connected) and tried to update firmware, but it says firmware up to date. So no luck that way.

Have tried. Hardware reset. (Many times).

I have a mac so I cant use your windows utility.

About to give up and send it back.

What kind of name you wanna change? Is it the device name or the network name?

You mentioned you logged into the web UI and found that the firmware is up to date, it should be fine then. Why do you say it is no luck that way?

And what is the current hardware and firmware version of the TL-WPA8630? What is the country version as well? You can find it on the back of the actual device.
