Model: TL-WN725N
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hello, I’ve been having trouble connecting my new TL-WN725N wifi adapter with my modem. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the driver that came on the disk that came included. I’ve also made sure my WLANconfig settings and properties of the device matched the ones in the help video. Computer says that the device is working properly. My modem is a Telstra dual band, model F@st 5355. Tried on two different computers with windows 10 and windows 7.

I’m also not 100% sure what version the hardware is, on the box it says version 3.8 but on the device itself there’s no ‘V3’ or anything which indicates it’s a V1.

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you.

@Bozwing

Have you ever tried to change the wireless settings of the main router to give it a shot? including wireless channel and channel width.

@Kevin_Z

Thank you for the reply. I had held off on doing that as I don’t know anything about what I would be looking for. But I jumped into it and randomly changed the channel a couple of times until it was able to find it! Thanks a lot for the help!

@FAISAL123

What I did was: I went to the webpage for my modem settings, clicked on the 2.4ghz connection (this adapter isn’t compatible with 5ghz). There I found  settings for a wireless channel and channel width like Kevin said. Just kept changing the channel until the adapter was able to find it, which only took two changes, luckily. Hope this works for you.
