It would be very nice if individual access point could be placed into a bridge mode so that they will not be used as clients except for anything behind the wired ethernet port.

 

As one poorly preforming satellite kills the preformance of the entire system it seems.

Sorry, I did not quite get your point, could you please provide more details? 

 

And as far as I know, each Deco can work as a separate access point, they can connect to the main router directly to work as an access point.

In other access points there is a method to turn an access point in to a network bridge so that it is a wifi client that just passes the network on through to the wired connection.
