Hi I  was advised by Talk Talk that my router is faulty so I purchases a temporary router (TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Router - Model No. Archer C50)

I have connected up the power, connected my ADSL cable into phone line (microfilter also) - Connected my PC to the network and now when I run the basic setup I get the message "The cable is unplugged. Please make sure the cable of the WAN port is well connected to your device" - The wire is connected properlt from the router directly into phone socket.

Does this model of router have a built in modem, please don't tell me I need a modem between the router & phone socket.
