@crevent

Thank you very much for getting back.

I have confirmed this issue you are reporting to the engineers, and they confirmed that this V5 1.0.9 Build 180808 Rel.1004n is a customized firmware for Maxis, so you cannot upgrade it with the generic firmware for the EU version.

Just to confirm, are you experiencing an issue with the current firmware? You may check with Maxis to see if there have newer firmware for it.

Have a nice day.

May I know which firmware version you are trying to update? please make sure it is for V5 as well.

In addition, here is an instruction for firmware update: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1655/

Was there any error message when you were trying to upgrade the firmware?

Can you upgrade to the previous versions, such as M7350(EU)_V5_181220? Try to upgrade to this version first and see if it works.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for the quick response.

As a owner i feel sad and dissapointed that units made for certain telco, latest firmwares from the manufacturer are not upgradable.Model and version are the same and yet i feel surprise that firmwares from the original manufacturer cannot be upgraded to the unit manufacture for certain telco.

 As a user i would love to flash the latest firmware into the unit so that i can enjoy the updated improvements. I believe there have to be a way to upgrade to the latest firmware from your download site.

BTW what are the differences between the maxis version firmware and you generic firmware?

Is the any app that i can use to select the unit to run on certain band as required, commonly known as band locking?

Your latest version of the firmware has it and that is why i an very interested to flash ut to my unit.

.

I do not have any where to refer to if Tplink is unable to assist.

Thanks.

Thank you very much for getting back.

We may say sorry for that we cannot provide any newer firmware for the customized version, as the firmware is specially build for Maxis. You can contact Maxis to confirm if they have any newer version.

Have a nice day.
