I've read somewhere that by default all processes on the extender run with root previleges. Is this true, can a malicious device somehow hack the extender and re-write it's firmware even when we are using a strong password? What measures can we take to harden the device, apart from keeping the firmware up to date?
Thank you

To hack the extender or any other devices, it's necessary for the hacker to access to your network. That's the priority we should avoid. Here are some suggestion for this. 1. Please set strong wifi password on your router, Maybe you need to reconfigure extender. 2. Please set strong login password on your Router and extender. 3. Please update the firmware on extender to the latest one.
