Deco M5 satellite node always connecting to master node instead of a nearer satellite node
I have a Deco M5 mesh network with one master node and 2 satellite nodes, say satellite_node_1 and satellite_node_2.
The node satellite_node_1 has good signal from the master node and no issues here.
And my node satellite_node_2 is nearer to the satellite_node_1. But still it is always getting connected to the master node which is more far, and thus having weaker signal.
How can I make my satellite_node_2 connect to satellite_node_1 instead of the master node?

I have a set up with 6 Deco M5 units for over a year now. All of them connect to the Master instead of the nearer satellites. The result is poor Internet in several parts of our house.
Could you send me the beta firmware that improves this issue? Thanks.
Could you also provide me with instructions how to install this, so I know what to do?
Thank you.
Best regards, Sebastiaan Vardy

@TP-Link Same problem - I would like the beta firmware for my M4 and instructions. Why is the beta not readily available for download?

@TP-Link i too would like to request this firmware. I'm struggling with the same issues having less than 10% connection speed because it's skipping the node between.

@David-TP Is this a manual download? I tried Update Deco on the app and the firmware I'm asked to download is version 1.5.7.
Also, is firmware 1.6 also available for Deco M9 Plus?

@TP-Link I have this problem with my M4R's having just had to reset it all up again after getting a new Hub 5 from Virgin. 3 floors and the top floor will not connect to the middle one as it used to instead connecting to the main deco.
As an aside I also get 905mbps when the Hub 5 is in Router Mode and WiFi connecting direct. I put it in Modem mode to connect to the Deco M4R's and follow all the advised ways/orders to turn it on etc and then only getting 513mbps. Both times only my phone connected. Any advice on both would be appreciated. Thanks
