Hi,

   Strange issue here that I hope someone can help me with.

So, I have an office away from the house - about 5 metres away.  I am getting a Powerline speed of 204mbps, so quite respectable.

I can browse the web and use internet connected apps like Netflix, however I cannot connect to my Sky Q box from the Office.   Bizarrely, if I connect in the house to Sky Q, I can take it with me to office where it allows me to see the recordings on the Sky Q box for a limited period.  Maybe one programme and then it will show as disconnected.

It is almost as though it is picking up a different wifi in the house, but I have cloned the wifi.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

R

@Rob.D.W

Hi there, we need to make it clear first that even though the cloned Wi-Fi network has the same SSID and password as the host one, it is still different from a mesh network. In the latter, switching to a Wi-Fi source with the stronger signal is automatic, while it is NOT the same case with a Wi-Fi clone system, as you have discovered the receiver device has to switch the Wi-Fi connection manually by an off on or manually connect to the stronger one.

However, if you cannot connect to the Sky Q box in your office when connected to the cloned wifi network, we may need to analyze further by following it via an email. We will ask our seniors to contact you soon.

Thanks.
