Hey Guys,

I hope you can help as I am clearly missing something incredibly simple.

I have a Western Digital MyBook 3tb USB Disk attached to my Archer AX50 router.

In FTP and as mapped network drive it shows as read-only so I cant even drag and drop files to it. I have been unplugging it to put it in the laptop to copy to from my other network drives.

I have looked in the settings on the Archer AX50 and it is shared, sharing all folders.

File Sharing is enabled on my Windows 10 Laptop so I am a little bit stuck. Hardware is a piece of cake as I used to build, diagnose and repair IT equipment but I must admit from a networking point of view I'm a little bit ignorant and assume plug n play lol.

Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Cheers guys!

@R083rtG

Hi, have you read this article and check the settings?

What should I do if TP-Link router cannot modify files on my hard drive?
