Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Archer C6(EU)_V2_200630

Hello,

I have Archer C6 V2 EU version and after updating to the latest version "Archer C6(EU)_V2_200630" The internet connection on the 5G band is inconsistent.
The internet connection speed gets dropped for 3 seconds each 5-6 seconds of connection.
For example, You are downloading a game on STEAM store, if You open the " Windows task manager" and then go to "Performance" then monitor the WIFI download speed at that moment.
You will see that the download pattern looks like a mountain. the download speed for example continues at a rate of 100 Mbps for 6 seconds then drops to 0 for 3  seconds and then again downloading for 6 seconds then off again and so on. You will see that the pattern looks like mountains.

If I change the connection to 2G then it is stable again and working fine.

I have tried my old router and it is working fine as well on 5G without any issue.

Please help to have this issue solved, as this way, I have unfortunately to keep using my old router for 5G to get the full potential of my +100 Mbps internet speed.

The issue is that I can not downgrade to the version that i had before as it is not allowed to downgrade to a version lower than Archer C6(EU)_V2_200402

Hello,

Thanks for your clarification.

Have you ever tried to change some wireless settings yet? Including wireless channel and channel width. For example, change the channel of 5GHz, use channels 36, 40, and 44, channel width 80MHz to give it a go.

May I know what is the model of the wireless adapter on this computer when you test the 5GHz connection? How about the link speed, is it always stable? You may confirm it as below:

Below is a beta firmware and you may give it a go and confirm if the 5GHz connection is more stable:
