Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.15.1 Build 141204 Rel.39308n

Hello community,

I tried searching for this information but I could only get bits and pieces so I hope someone here knows.  I wanted to know what these meant at the bottom of my log file.

Time = 2020-08-18 10:36:09 20539s

H-Ver = Archer C7 v1 00000000 : S-Ver = 3.15.1 Build 141204 Rel.39308n
L = 192.168.2.7 : M = 255.255.255.0
W1 = STATIC IP : W = 3.95.113.154 : M = 255.255.255.0 : G = 3.95.113.154

In particular, what is the "W=3.95.113.154" and "G=3.95.113.154"?  I looked it up and it belongs to Amazon Data Services.  If anyone can explain these and point me to a reference for these things it would be much appreciated.

Also, I am thinking of buying the AX6000 to replace my old C7.  Do you think this is a good idea?  I chose the AX6000 because someone will share the cost of buying it.  Otherwise, I was going to buy the AX3000.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

As per "L = 192.168.2.7  M = 255.255.255.0", L stands for LAN, which is the local Ethernet connection, and M means subnet mask, which will define your network range.

W = 3.95.113.154 : M = 255.255.255.0 : G = 3.95.113.154:

W means WAN

M means subnet mask again

G means Default Gateway.

The AX6000 should be a good choice, you may compare it with AX3000 as below:

@Kevin_Z

Thank you for the explanation @Kevin_Z .

If W = 3.95.113.154 is my WAN, does it mean that my last address looked at from my browser was Amazon?  It's still the same when I looked at it today.

Also, it looks conspicuous that my gateway is also an Amazon IP address.
