Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

We just bought a 3 unit Deco and have it all set up and it's working great.

My son is having trouble connecting the second base of the Deco to his Xbox via ethernet cable. He says that his playing connection will be better if he does that (and was connected to our former router that way).  The Deco's light turned red when he plugged the ethernet cable in and he can't get connected. His Xbox says: NAT Type closed and Service Info Unavailable.

Everything seems to be working ok via wireless.

Anyone have an idea how to connect the Xbox to the unit with the ethernet cable? Again, this is not the primary Deco unit and isn't attached to the modem.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

@Chris1009

Hello, please help confirm some details and we can try to fix it together.
1. What is the current network diagram/layout? How are the 3 Deco M9s connected to your network? Is the main Deco M9 working as a router or Access Point?
2. Do you mean the LED on one of the satellite Deco will blink red when the Xbox is plugged into the Ethernet port? How about the main Deco and the other satellite Deco, are they still showing a solid green light? Generally, if the LED on the Deco M9 blinks red, it means the internet connection on it is broken, and there won't be internet access if a device is connected to it.
3. Please confirm what is the IP address your Xbox obtained when it is plugged into the satellite Deco. What if you plug it into the main Deco?

Thanks a lot.
