Firmware Version: 1.5.3 20210309 Rel. 36309

Hi,

 

After I (manual) updated my M9 deco V2 to version 1.5.3, one of the units stopped working.

 

Here's what I tried so far:

 

  1. Reset the unit with the reset button (does it make any difference if you press it short or long?). This resulted in a blue pulsing LED which, according to the manual, means Deco is ready for setup.
  2. Try to add a new deco using the app --> Deco cannot be found.
  3. Removed the unreachable Deco from the network and repeated step 2. No success.
  4. Placed the deco next to a connected deco and also connected it using an ethernet cable. Again, nothing.

 

Is there someone who can help me out? Any help will be appriciated smiley

Hi, Are you able to see the default wireless network of this Deco unit, like Deco_xxxx?

And you could also click to “try again” and choose “set up via Bluetooth”.

 Did you have any Circle or other home security devices in the network, if yes, it is suggested to unplug it first?

Please also make sure you are connected to Deco’s wireless network when trying to add the satellite Deco.

I found this FAQ-site and followed all steps, with no result.

 

I'm going to contact the seller or TP-link to find another solution.
