Hello guys,

Deco M5 says, it has MU-MIMO but does not give numbers of how many can use it simultaneously. I guess it's 2 devices.

The question is, we have 9 Deco in our house. Does it mean, that 18 connections can be made simultaneously and have no lag at all, or it's only 2 devices no matter of the numbers of Deco's connected in 1 network, that can have good connection with no lag ?

In other words, 1 deco can have 2 devices simultaneously connected at the same time

9 deco can have 18 simultaneously connected devices ?

May it help.

Article says:

In the past, it was impossible for routers to communicate with different client at the same time. When one client was communicating with router, the other clients would have to wait until the transmission finished. MU-MIMO (Multiple-User, Multiple-Input and Multiple-output) overcomes this issue by allowing multiple users to access router’s functions without congestion.

Router with MU-MIMO unlocks previously unused capacity by serving 3 users at a time.

Am I missing something here ?   o_O

It says that it allows to serve multiple users at the same time. I though it was like:

If I have SU-MIMO and streaming (YouTube) on 2 devices at the same time, my router will give traffic to 1st device, after switch to 2nd device and so on, so 1 device at the time.

With MU-MIMO, traffic will be send to both devices at the same time.

Does it also mean, that despite having 9 Deco M5, only 1 device can be served at the same time ?
