Model: Deco P7
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.7 build 20200820 rel 60546

Hello community thank you for welcoming me

Using my p7 pack 3 for 4 months without worries in AP mode. android deco software reported a firmware update 1.4.7 build 20200820 rel 60546
I validate the installation it is done without worries but the two satellite deco does not keep the connection with the main one.
I think first of all of an update problem I switch each p7 to ethernet with the main one thinking that that would fix the problem.
I rebooted my Freebox modem, I removed the network and I reinstalled completely taking care to reset each P7 on the back of the device
Nothing works, the main one is active when I add an additional deco it turns green but after 2 min goes back to flashing red.
however the router mode works without problem but unfortunately it is not the mode that I need
is this a known firmware issue? can we downgrade to the previous one?
what solution can you bring me heeeeelp me
Best regards

Dimtri

@Dim17  i confirm we can  donwgrade firmware:

i try this tutorial from deco to downgrade : https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-p7/#Firmware

Step 1 Connect your device to the Deco network (wired or wirelessly).
Step 2 Launch a web browser, enter http://tplinkdeco.net or the LAN IP address shown on the Deco app in the address bar to access the web management page of the Deco.

donwload 1.4.2 firmware and use http://tplinkdeco.net to downgrade

everyrthing is  fine now.

i need try 3 times before downgrade is ok

hope everything is fine for you too

i m now on 1.4.2

Hello again @Dim17  @RodFR69  @preinking and all, thank you all for the detailed info you've provided as for now and the issue is addressed already, we have removed the 1.4.7 version from the official website. We will soon fix and release a new firmware later.

As for those who encounter the same issue that the satellite Deco P7 nodes will disconnect from the main P7 (AP mode) after upgrading the firmware to this 1.4.7 Build 20200820 Rel. 60546 version, it is suggested to downgrade the firmware to the previous 1.4.2 version as a workaround, and below is the guidance:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1599/  (Method 2)

Thanks a lot and sorry for any inconvenience caused on this~

@Dim17 For now I'm not able to able you but ran into exact the same issue. Upgraded to 1.4.7 Build 20200820 Rel. 60546 and AP mode is failing big time.

Rollback does not even seem to be possible.
