Deco P7 issue after last update
Hi!
Yesterday I made a mistake letting my Deco P7 system to update to 1.4.7 20200820 Rel. 60546
After the update my two secondary Decos stopped working (flashing red). Tried to reset them and re-add to network - does not help, the same issue after setup.
I've recreated the whole network from scratch and initially everything worked before I switched to Access Point operating mode which is essential for my setup, then - the same issue again, secondary Decos are not working.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thank you.

Hello again @Sema @Haensel, thank you both for the detailed info you've provided as for now and the issue is addressed already, we have removed the 1.4.7 version from the official website. We will soon fix it and release a new firmware later.
As for those who encounter the same issue that the satellite Deco P7 nodes will disconnect from the main P7 (AP mode) after upgrading the firmware to this 1.4.7 Build 20200820 Rel. 60546 version, it is suggested to downgrade the firmware to the previous 1.4.2 version as a workaround, and below is the guidance:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1599/ (Method 2)
Thanks a lot and sorry for any inconvenience caused on this~

Hello,
I think there is definately a problem with that firmware update. I have exactly the same problems with my P7 as Sema.I installed it yesterday evening going to bed. This morning 2 of the 3 deco's weren't connected.
I tried resetting the deco's and add them again to the main Deco. Then the deco connects succesfully but within 20 seconds connection is lost.
The same problem occur after switching Deco's. The same problems occur also with 2 deco's in one room.
I will try downgrading the firmware.
kind regards,
Hans

Hi,
I just downgraded the firmware of the main deco to the previous version 1.4.2 Build 20200408.
The other 2 deco's are still with the latest firmware, but everything is working!
The moment the firmware downgrade of the main deco was finished, the other 2 deco's came online.
How do I downgrade the firmware of the 2 satellite deco's?
kind regards,
Haensel

Thank you for your comments.
Yes, LEDs on my two RE Deco P7 nodes are flashing red (and those Decos do not work - no internet when device is connected to those) when I switch the main Deco to AP mode, while they are working just fine if I switch the main in router mode.
- Main Deco is connected with provider's modem/router and there are 2 secondary Decos. They are connected via WiFi/PLC.
- No switch
- Of course I've tried restart, including modem restart
Thanks for the tip re: downgrading.
Downgrading to 1.4.2 Build 20200408 Rel. 73944 helps, now all Decos are working fine in AP mode.
There is definetely a bug in the last firmware update.
