Model: RE450
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I bought the RE450 to help extend my wifi for my kids and their chromebooks, but the unit doesn't appear in their wireless networks.

I can access it from my macbook, our iPhones and via Tether, but not their chromebooks...

In certain forum posts, I've read that you need Windows or Mac OS, but isn't Wifi Wifi?

Why is this unit not showing up?

Do I need to return it?

Please advise

@Cam_M

Hi there,

May I know if the SSID of the router and RE are the same?

And what's the model number of your Chromebook?

Does the RE450's Wi-Fi not showing on your Chromebook all the time?

Or it shows for a while then disappear after working with the Chromebook?

Thanks

@Cam_M

More advice:

 If possible, please also try to change the wireless channel on the home router, such as channel 11 for 2.4ghz, channel 40/48 for 5ghz;

By the way, are both 2.4ghz and 5ghz invisible?

Thank you very much.
