I am unable to install this as range extender please help me about this

Hi,

 

Please refer to the below guide to reset the WR840N and reconfigure it to connect to your host router via WDS:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1385/

 

If the internet is still not working when you connect a phone or laptop to the WR840N, please confirm the below details:

1. Check what is the IP address on your phone or laptop.

2. Connect the phone or laptop to the host wireless network of the main router, check the IP address as well, and compare the two. If the IP address is in the same IP range and the default gateway is the same, which means the internet should be good, you may try to restart the main router and the WR841N and confirm again.
