I want to increase my wifi coverage using OneMesh from my AC2300. But I don't want to "extend" via wifi. I want the RE650 for connect to the AC2300 via ethernet.

 

Can I do it? The manual doesn't say, and  I don't have an RE650 yet.

RE650 does not support OneMesh when connects to the AC2300 via Ethernet cable.

@Solla-topee That's too bad, I just ordered one.

 

It's quite disappointing that an infrastructure solution cannot hardwired. The purpose is ease and reliability for network users. Requiring the gateway link to be wireless and therefore unreliable by nature, distance, and obstructions is crazy.

 

I guess I'll have to send it back. What a shame - so close.
