RE450 WEAK SECURITY

Hi,
I just bought an RE450 to extend by Netgear Orbi system.
It works really well, and I can now get WiFi in my workshop.
However, it allows WPA security, while my Orbi has much stronger security (WPA2 (AES).
I can't find a way to turn off WPA, and I'm concerned this RE450 is now a vector into my network.
I don't want to return it, but I'm not comfortable using it like this.
Is there a firmware update available?
