Model: RE300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm using Ubiquiti WIFI access point "UAP-AC-LR" to connect to my devices.

Currently I have 4 close-proximity neighbors in my apartment, all using 5GHz WIFI networks.

The WIFI interference is the strongest at the entrance of my apartment, where my "Google Nest Hello" WIFI doorbell camera is.

Previously I've manually set to channel 132 (DFS), the camera did not disconnect from the main access point even though the signal was weak (<-70dB) because there was minimal/no interference.

Now because I'm connecting to RE300 and RE305, it seems that I'm limited to channel 36/40/44/48 only.

The problem is that the doorbell camera keeps dropping connection every few hours, sometimes in minutes (presumably my neighbors are actively using their WIFI networks).

Below is my screenshot of the scanned WIFI usage activity from living room (better case scenario), the actual activity at main entrance gets worse than in the screenshot.

My question is,

  • Is there any supported channels other than 36/40/44/48 ?
  • If not, will there be a firmware upgrade to support more channels?

@Amano7

Good day,

Thanks a lot for your time and patience.

May I know where are you located

What is the region code of your RE300, EU, or US version?

If it is US version, it supported band1/2/3/4 on the 5ghz;

While if it is EU version, it supported band 1/2/3;

Thanks a lot.

@Solla-topee

I'm using:

RE300(UK) Ver:1.0

RE305(AS) Ver:3.0

I am from Asia, Singapore.

I assume band 1 is channel 36-48, is that correct?

Can you advise us on which channel is for other bands?

Great, looks like band 3 is the best case in this scenario. I thought it didn't connect at first, but I just need to wait a little longer before it connects to a DFS channel.
