Extender work well with the mi box. But as soon as I plug it out or the power goes out I struggle to get it back or to work on the MI BOX android TV box.

It appears as available network for couple of second and then disappear. But it works find on my cellphone and laptop etc

@B19

Good day,

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Have you ever tried to connect the Mi box via Ethernet cable to the 855RE to have a look?

Would the Mi box work fine with the wireless network of the home router?

When you mentioned that the network disappeared, did you mean the wireless signal was not detected on the Mi box, or the Wi-Fi was connected but no internet?

Update:

Recently we’ve released the newest firmware online for TL-WA855RE V5 on our official website which is 200923, and we’ve got a lot of updates here:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2959/

It’s recommended to upgrade to the new firmware following the instruction How to upgrade the firmware of my range extender (new logo)? as soon as possible, and you can get the new firmware from the below address:

Thanks a lot.
