VR2800 clients lose 2.4ghz connection
I've seen this issue raised multiple times on this forum across different TP Link models. I have an issue whereby after a few days clients connected to the 2.4ghz band of the VR2800 lose WiFi connection and are unable to re-connect. At the same time, other devices (eg iPhones) are unable to join the 2.4ghz network - they get incorrect password error. 5ghz and direct LAN devices continue to work without issue.
There only thing that resolves the issue is to go into the web UI and make ANY change to the 2.4ghz WiFi and SAVE. At this point devices are able to connect/re-connect.
Can you please advise? This appears to be a serious firmware issue that is affecting many models. I need a reliable device.
Thanks

In case anyone else is following this -- I kept my TalkTalk router with wifi switched off and one cable into a newly purchased TP-Link Deco x20 (2-pack). This has solved every issue I had. Only slightly more complex to do Port Forwarding as has to be done on both routers but only have one port to do. Just need to bin the VR2800.

Any updates? I'm having the same issue, 2.4ghz frequency gone, checked on multiple devices, modem firmware is current.
Tried factory resetting, Wifi Network is toggled 'on' for both 2.4 and 5.0. I have tried changing the Channel and Channel width and no result.
Firmware Version:
0.7.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 210313 Rel.74106n
Hardware Version:
Archer VR2800 v1 00000000
SYSTEM LOG ATTACHED.
Kind Regards,
Matt.

Hi,
Since the original post is about unstable 2.4ghz, when the 2.4ghz connection is disconnected, the wireless signal would disappear.
So were you trying to say the 2.4ghz is unstable, or just the 2.4ghz signal is undetected all the time(more like a hardware issue)?
May I know how long have you had the modem and when did this issue start?
Thank you very much.
