TP-LINK RE305 Ethernet and WiFi keeps disconnecting.
As the title say, the extender works just fine for a few minutes and then pouf : not identified, ip problems or dns or whatever. There's always a problem. I tried both Wi-Fi and Ethernet and it doesn't do anything. It still does not work.
Any solutions, please? This is getting tiring!

Good day,
Sorry for the delay.
May I know how long have you had the RE305 and when did the issue start?
May I know the model number of your home router.
The unstable issue happened to both 2.4/5ghz, and Ethernet connection, right?
Would the 2.4/5ghz LED turn off when the connection dropped?
Later, I would send you a beta firmware, please try to update the beta firmware.
And please feel free to update here with further improvement.
Thank you very much.

Good day!
It's alright, no rush. I've had it for only 3 months, bought it in August ans the issues started a few weeks ago. Tried to find a solution here and there and it didn't work.
I'm not sure about the model number? RE305 I guess?
Yep, it happened on everything : 2.4Ghz,5Ghz abd Ethernet aswell. The thing is, the LED doesn't even turn off and when I'm going closer to my main router, the internet works so it's a device problem.
Best regards.

I'm having the same issue, bought it a couple of weeks ago and since day one the device keeps disconnecting after an hour or two, or every time you connect a new device to the extender network. I have done firmware updates, reset the range extender, the router and nothing eorks

Hi, @Kirahakkai
After updating the firmware, did the instability get improved?
May I know the model number of your home router?
When the connection dropped, did the 2.4ghz and 5ghz still lit up?
How did you recover the connection, rebooting the RE305, or it would come back automatically?
Later, I would send you the beta firmware as well and please have a check of the message box.
Please feel free to update here with further improvement.
Thank you very much!

Model: RE305
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20200826 Rel. 66098
I have the same issue too.
My device would ramdomly disconnect from the extender and reconnect immediately. I noticed it only happened with 5ghz connection from extender to my device. I had tried to alter my router's channel and channel width, and nothing helps.
My current most optimum configuration is turning on High Speed Mode > Manual > Router-to-Extender in 5Ghz & Extender-to-Client in 2.4Ghz. Hope this could provide you some insight to fix the issue.

@TP-Link Thank you for the beta firmware.
The new firmware definitely improve my connection, but I stil experience the random disconnection with 5ghz connection, just that it happens less frequent than it used to.

@Kirahakkai @TP-Link It keeps happening. Random dc's and frequently now. Every 10 minutes I'd say. When I check the logs it says : DHCP server stopped. Anc the cycle begin anew. Help?
