I configured my range extender, all lights are solid blue, so its supposed to be completed. but a page opened up after that said "It looks like you may have run into an issue". And I am not able to check if I can connect to the extender's network because I kept it the same name as my router's network.

Is there a way I can go back to change the name of the network now so I can check if it worked?

@Person66

Good day,

Sorry for the delay.

May I know the model number of your range extender?

Please refer to the following suggestions:

  1. Connect the laptop via Ethernet to the extender;
  2. Log in via http://tplinkrepeater.net
  3. Go to settings>wireless>extended network, change the SSID;

Or if Ethernet connection not available, it would be much convenient to reset the extender and set up from the beginning and did not copy the host SSID this time;

And how to set up via Tether APP: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1373/

Thank you very much.

@Solla-topee

Hi, thank you for your time and patience.

It seemed like the RE450 copied the SSID of the home router during the setup.

If you want to use different SSID, Please refer to the instruction on this link to change the wireless name:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/236396

Thanks a lot.
