TL-WA1201 System Log shows unexpected errors
I set this new unit up with Ping enabled and Boot Schedule enabled for 3.00am on each Sunday morning. I found a series of errors in the Log for the 3.00am re-boot . I re-booted manually to see what happened and the same series of errors were recorded including a false 'factory reset' which never happened; also the 3.00am errors were deleted. Has anyone any idea what the errors mean and why they appeared? It looks like suspect firmware coding and why doesn't the User Guide list the error codes?

Update 8/13
Hi everyone,
Thank you for your kind feedback. After confirmed with the seniors, here is the clarification for the logs that you probably worried about.
As a summary, the Led Controller log error does not mean any improper behavior of the AP, AP should work fine while these log occurs.
Model TL-WA1201 will create log starting with [led-controller] every time when it is trying to configure the LEDs , the related logs are more of false positive to the LED issue which does not actually exists, please feel rest assured to use the AP and ignore the LED- controller log
Here is how the TL-WA1201's log look like:
" 2020-11-22 18:33:56 led-controller[647]: <3> 288753 Config importing failed

@Solla-topee Hi thanks for the feedback. It does explain the 'error' messages but the programmer who let 'failed' appear many times in a user log needs to be sent for re-training! I've managed teams of embedded software programmers and I would not have accepted that poor level of software programming. Note that my 1201 still hangs/freezes within a day or two of use so a reliability problem remains. I have had to take it out of service and have replaced it with a reliable Draytek unit.

@DaiB Hello,
Sorry for the late update.May I know do you still have the access point?
If your Access Point hangs every 1-2 days, can you help confirm some details to locate the problem:
- May I know your current network topology ( note the the Model & IP of your router, and IP of access point, firmware & hardware version of AP if possible) ?
- Do you use AP mode/ multi SSID or other modes on TL-WA1201?
- After it hangs, is there any Error message on AP's Wi-Fi? If no error , can you still ping AP/ ping main router?
- How does the correct recovers every time, do you need to reboot it or it could restore by itself.
At the same time, we'd like to follow up your case via email with forum ID ' 238468 ' please check your inbox later. Thank you ~

Hi @Solla-topee
I have a new TL-WA1201 v2.0 for about 2 weeks and I face the same issue on the log.
It is understand to be like that when the device reboots but today for example we have the same thing twice due the day.
Once the device has a service failure once a few day before and has to hard reset, I configured to schedule reboot every day at 4:00 AM.
Today except the interval of the logging at 4:00 am we have the same loop logging at 11:42am & 4:23pm.
Also suspect that when have that issue at 4:23pm the same time we have connectivity service failure.
Attached is the Log

@Costachri Hello,
Thank you for your log. It looks like WA1201 restarts at 4:23PM from the log you provided.
Can you help observe if there is any Internet interruption on this AP and how about the LED status at that time ?
May I know your current network topology ( note the Model & IP of your router, and IP of access point, firmware & hardware version of AP if possible) ?
Do you use AP mode/ multi SSID or other modes on TL-WA1201?
What are the Wi-Fi clients connected to this AP? Many thanks.

@Solla-topee Hello,
About what asking for:
Router: Vodafone-H-300s-v1.0.10.07T3
Router IP: 192.168.1.1
AP IP: 192.168.1.254
AP Firmware: 1.0.1 Build 20200709 rel.66244(4555)
AP HW version: TL-WA1201 v2.0
I am using it as AP mode
On AP are connected 3 mobile phones , one tablet and 3 Laptops maximum
Router and AP are connected through a TP Link Power line AV600.
Mostly the Leds are stable on. I didn't checked when the issue happens. Next time i will check the Leds also.
I think that if the AP device restarts at 4:23PM then as happens at 4:00am it should start with 00:00:00 time.

@Costachri Hello,
Except for the log, please help check if your AP have stable internet or not. if your wifi is stable. There is a possiblity that router self -diagnoses not just when it is rebooted....
We would also like to have a specialist look into this further via email. Please check your mailbox later, and let us know if the issue is resolved. Thank you!
