@Coconut

Hello, just confirmed with the dev team that there will be no plan to add the support for 160mhz due to hardware and firmware limitations, sorry about that.

Did you actual look at my post. That screenshot was taken from your website in relation to your product (archer vr2800) why are you advertising a feature for a product that is not possible due to the hardware. Surely you would have known about the products limitations prior to marketing? If this is in fact the case and the product is not capable of this feature, why is it being advertised as such in the future and why are you not compensating owner for misleading information. I look forward to your response. In the meantime I will be making a formal complaint to the adverting standards authority and trading standards.

I have just noted you have now removed and replace the image I sent you previously from the routers web page. Removing all traces of the false advertising. What about all the customers which purchased the product based on your previous advertising stating that 160mhz would be available in the future via a firmware update?

@Coconut

Sorry to respond late.

May I know when did you purchase this VR2800? As always mentioned when replying to our customers related to purchase advice, we don't suggest our customers buy a product just based on the 'coming soon' or 'will support it' features as plans always change, due to the hardware or firmware limitations, buy something for sure.

Sorry that we cannot understand more with the technical limitations or feasibility.

I purchased this back in October. But I don't see what relevance that has. Nor the fact that purchasing an item based on 'coming soon'. What is relevant is the product has been mis-advertised, with misleading information. If you note the my original post which contained the screenshot of the advertising you will see that there is no caveat that the firmware upgrade may not be released. Surely if you knew the hardware was not compatible with 160mhz band then you shouldnt be advertising as such. As a result of my post you took down the picture and replaced it. Further highlighting that is was mis-advertised. In any case the product is still mis-advertised as the stated on the product page that the 5ghz band is capable of 2187mbps speed. However, this is not possible without the 160mhz firmware upgrade.
