The Wi Fi Router for the complex is 50 mbps. My TP-Link Wireless N PCI Express Adapter is connectint at only & mbps. It seem to be connecting to a Cell Phone tower.

Hi, what is the model number of your TP-Link adapter? Do you mean you also got a TP-Link wireless router? What is the model of it?

 

Do you encounter any speed issue with this adapter? What is the download and upload speed you can get when you connected to the network?

The building wi fi is 50 MBPS

 

I get 6MBPS on my TP Link

Thanks for the follow-up. Please refer to the following suggestions:
1. Update the following driver for your WN881ND: https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201911/20191129/TL-WN881ND V2 windows 10 RTL driver 2024.0.4.208.zip
2. Change the wireless advanced settings on your host wireless router, like channel 1/6/11, change the channel width to 40mhz for 2.4ghz. 

3. What is the wireless speed you can get on other wireless devices, such as on the phone or laptop? Kindly show us the speedtest results, thanks. BTW, you can also test this adapter on another PC or laptop, confirm if the speed is normal.
4. If the wireless speed is good on phone or laptop, but slow on this Windows computer when using the WN881ND, please help get the system info and driver info on the computer https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/.

Did  all that no change. My phone  gets 50 mbps. Tp Link 7

 

It seems to me that the link is seeing Cell phone towers and not the router. Vodacom is a cell phone signal

Do you mean this Windows 10 64bit computer is connected to the phone hotspot but not to your wireless router? If that is the case, you may disable the phone hotspot first, reconnect to the router Wi-Fi to confirm.

 

BTW, try to remove all the drivers for this WN881ND on your computer first, then reinstall the driver that I sent to you manually to see if it will make a difference.

i caanot disable the phone hot spot. it is cell Phone tower/mast in the nearby shopping centre

I uninstalled and re instaleld your driver link.

As per attached It now shows the correct ISP Supesonic but same speed !!

I got the same problem with Tp-link WN881ND Ver2. Very slow connection. I don't know if it's the problem caused by the wifi card or by the pci-express on the main board. I also tried the solutions you mentioned above but the connection is still very slow and unstable. Tried to test with multiple wifi router but still the same. Please help!!
