Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v009f.0 Build 200227 RC.31528n

My new router/modem TD-W9970 has this error!

Internet works fine but it says on diagnostics that ping primary domain's server failed.

Does this affect anything? 

Also I was gaming yesterday and ping was very high compared to normal, and I was using an ethernet.

Could this be related?

Can I have that ping error in the log? Generally, that shouldn't affect the internet, but you may try to change the DNS server on the W9970 to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 just in case the DNS server assigned by your ISP is not stable.
