@AlexisHF

Yes, the parental control settings on the Mesh router would be applied on the OneMesh extender as well.

Thank you very much.

Hello, Thanks for your answer. But the RE300 has not the parental control feature. Are you sure? Maybe all the traffic received by RE300 in onenesh mode is sent to the router and there parental control is applied? Can you give more detail? Thanks! Best regards,

@AlexisHF

Hi, yes and I have confirmed with the senior engineers.

Once the OneMesh is enabled, the device connected to the RE300 would use the real Mac address, not the virtual Mac address anymore.

Thank you very much.

TP-Link  Hello @TP-Link !

But I do not understand something. I have a router C6 and a repeater RE455 in repeater mode (no onemesh). And I can see the same MAC address in both, the repeater and the router. But when I apply parental control in the router to the devices connected to RE455 it does not work.

If I buy a RE300 repeater and i put in onemesh mode, why parental control will work?

And why is not working right now with my RE455 repeater if i can see the same mac address of the devices connected to RE455 in the router?

See the attached images.

Repeater mode (RE455)

Repeater dhcp settings (RE455)

Repeater wifi client (RE455)

Router (C6)  DHCP table ... ¡Is the same MAC ADDRESS that the client connected via wifi to Repeater (RE455)!

If I configure parental control in the router C6 with the MAC ADDRESS 98-FE-94-93-18-B2 of this devices connected to RE455 via wifi, parental control does not work. Only works with the devices connected via wifi to the router C6.

Thanks

@AlexisHF

Hi, thanks for your kind reply.

May I know the hardware and firmware version of the RE455?

And did all the mobile devices connected to the RE455 have the same MAC address on the RE455 and C6, or just a particular device?

By the way, what is the hardware and firmware version of the C6

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

@TP-Link

Hi!

All the mobile devices connected to the RE455 have their own MAC address. Here is an example of two mobile devices connected to RE455

And here is the dhcp clients list at C6. ¡The MAC are the same!

This is the hw and sw version of RE455 and C6

Another information

The RE455 ssid and C6 ssid are different

Here is an example the parental control that does not work at C6 router

Thanks!
