Model: Archer T3U
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1030.38.712.2019 (Microsoft)

Hi!

First off: I am German, that means, all screenshots will be in german.

However:

Today, I realized that my Archer T3U has been connected through USB 2.0 instead of 3.0 the last half year.

So I changed the USB-port to USB 3.0 and tested the internet speed. Ridiculously, the speed dropped from around 50 mbit/s down to 10-25 mbit/s..

With that in mind, I changed the USB-port on and on and checked again and again... the results kept the same..

Soo, in the attachment are some screenshots and logs in a zip-file, please check the Hash-Sum!! The SHA256 sum is:

Screenshot of the Hash-Sum:

Evtlly there is a bug in the driver but please keep in mind, it could be also my local PC.

If you need more information and similar, please let me know!

I ask for reproduction tries and support, thank you! :)

@Zeratoxx

Thank you very much for all the details you collected, we appreciate it.

As per the link speed you attached, there is no much significant difference when the T3U is plugged into the USB2.0 and in the USB3.0, while the actual speed differs a lot. Can you please remove the current driver for the adapter, and install the below one, then confirm?

Here is a guide to install the adapter manually: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/920/.

BTW, please kindly verify what is the system version of the Windows 10 as this: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/. If possible, we hope you could test the T3U on another computer, then check if there is any difference.
