dsl connection not working
Hi there. The modem is telling me that the cable is not connected. I did few tries and the cable is good and there's signal. But the modem keep is saying : verify that the cable is connected.
Any software suggestions, or shall I take he modem to a technician?
Thanks in advanced

@Philbert Good evening, it's seems that the problem is solved. and at this point I really belive that it was a ISP problem. I haven't change anything and the connection came back alone...
Anyway thanks a lot for the help and support

Hey
Im guessing you are using this with a modem and not direct to telephone socket?
Have you got it connected to the LAN/WAN port below? its sometimes hard to spot as its coloured the same as the other 3.
Also can you log into the VR600? what does it say there? any screenshots would help

Hi, I'm not using a modem, because this model has a modem integrated . I log into 192.168.1.1 .I have tried to connect the wire directly to the phone when the router told me: check you cable, no connection.. and the phone is working.
So I think that the possible option cuold be
Provider : phone signal on but not ADSL
Router: socket malfuctioning / software / firmare issue
Do you think that any of this are possible?

Hey
Would you mind posting a screenshot of the router interface page for the ADSL connection / modem page? Let me see what is happening, should look like this.. i have the same router.
Also did this work previously with the older ISP router?
Ive seen routers fail but never seen one report no cable connected, could be ADSL is not live.. are you going from the RJ11 on the router (small telephone socket) to the Splitter then into the wall? or does your wall have a splitter built into it?
Any pics you have would help.. who is your ISP?
