Slow website loading through wired connection from Deco M9 Plus
I have 3 Deco M9 nodes in AP mode.
Node 1 (connected to my ISP modem/router by wire),
Node 2 (wirelessly connected to Node 1),
Node 3 (connected to Node 1 by ethernet backhaul).
I have a desktop PC connected to the free ethernet port on Node 3. PC connection status shows a 1Gb connection.
Wifi seems to be working fine in general.
Loading websites through this setup on my desktop (connected to Node 3 by ethernet) is annoyingly slow. A speedtest does not show anything suspicious (50mb down, 5 mb up, as is my internet plan, and 8ms ping which is also fine). A ping to 1.1.1.1 gets me 50ms the first try, later turning to 10ms.
Now, a direct connection from my desktop pc to my ISP modem/router, using the same ethernet cable that runs from Node 1 to Node 3 gives me snappy response while browsing. What's off?
Way back in the days, I'd change the DNS server for this behaviour. But with the Deco's in AP mode, the DNS server used is set in my ISP modem/router. If the problem lies there, it should also happen when using the UTP cable directly to my ISP modem/router.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
