Model: Deco X20
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: Latest

I plugged my deco x20 into one of the LAN sockets of my fiber box. It works correctly but the internet speed test is now 90 mbps while on the box directly it was 300mbps. Why is the speed through the X20 router slower?
normal or not?
Thanks to those who can give me info

@TP-Link

Hi, I found the problem. One was from the LAN speed limitation on the box setting (100Mbps to 1000Mbps) and second one was the Ethernet cable between DECO and box

thank you for your help.

Problem solved

@Johnvis

Hi,

Could you please draw me a picture of your network structure, such as ISP fiber box---Deco X20, and then?

Have you changed the Ethernet cable from the fiber box to Deco?

And Did Deco X20 work on the router mode, or access point mode?

How about the speed-test via the Deco APP?

And did you set up any QoS on the X20, such as https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1601/

Thank you!
