Firmware Version:

Hi,

I´m trying to use this router as a range extender.. is it possible? In that case, how do I configure it and how do I use it to be able to use also the lan ports of the router. I want to connect a Playstation to it but I don't know how to make it work.

Could you tell me how can I do that?

@dazcuenaga

Follow this guide to configure C7 WDS feature.

Make sure the LAN IP address of C7 is in the same subnet as the main router and C7 DHCP server is OFF.

When the WDS status is 'Run', then WDS bridging has been successfully built.

@dazcuenaga

The Archer C7 supports WDS Bridging.

To use it click on "Enable WDS Bridging" and then click the "Survey" botton. In the window that pops up select the WiFi SSID of the wireless network that you want to extend.

There should be no special setting needed in order to be able to connect a device via LAN port.

Whether it will be a success or not also somewhat depends on what version of WDS the main router supports.

@woozle , I´v configured the WDS and still no connection. Each time I connect to the Archer C7 router it gives me the wrong Ip and I still don't get internet connection. Is there something else I can try?

@Ivaylo hi, I did everything as explained in the guide and still no internet... doesn't matter how I connect to the router. WDS status is Run, IP in the same range as Main router. I don't see if there is something wrong.
